Sister Shir Madness took her name from the Hebrew word for song, Shir (sheer), which pays homage to her Jewish heritage, and Madness for her love of the Elder Gods. Her calling to the Order came many years ago, when she saw the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence on the TV, and wanted to join, even though she isn’t a gay man. Sister Shir Madness’s novice project was to hold a Safer Sex Symposium, which brought together members of various kink communities in New Orleans, from leather men to Pups with sex educators of all kinds.
